Leighton Meester tousled updo with headband

Celebrity hairstyles make up the most requested hairdos in salons all across America. Hairstyle Blog surveyed top salons in the area to find out which celebrity hairstyles are being requested most often this season. We know this is not a complete list, nor will they work for every face shape, hair type and life style out there but, we still think it's interesting note.

The top 5 celebrity hairstyles requested we'll look at here include Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Emma Stone, and Zooey Deschanel. Other celebrities whose hairstyles were coveted included; Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Watson, Lisa Rinna and Selena Gomez.

Leighton Meester long layered hair with wispy textured bangs

As Gossip Girls' Blair Waldorf, Leighton Meester made the headband/curls combo shine. Over the years, Leighton's been a celebrity who has an inspiration to hundreds of women looking for a hairstyle that catches all the right attention. A natural blonde, Leighton dyed her hair a chestnut-brown and went from straight to crimped to soft curls.

Leighton Meester's soft waves have a playful side that oozes natural feminine appeal. Natural curly girls may have trouble getting this smooth of a style, but wavy hair gals can blow-dry hair smooth and use a big curling iron for volume and soft curls. Straight hair can be coaxed into this style with a large roller set and the right styling product.

To copy Leighton's cut, think face-framing layers that cascade around your shoulders. Leave your hair anywhere from shoulder length to several inches longer. Leave your face bang-free, as Leighton did for many years, or get wispy, texturized bangs that hover near your brows, as she is currently wearing.

Blake Lively braids and long layered soft curls

Blake Lively is another celebrity whose hairstyle ranks as 'most requested' from salons across the country. Why? Blake is known for her voluminous locks, mega shine and carefully tousled hair. To copy Blake's hairstyle, keep your locks healthy and coat them with a shine serum after styling to bring out their natural gloss. When it comes to styling her hair, Blake favors messy updos and casual looks that are effortless.  Half-up ponys and braids are another Blake Lively hairdo staple. For the softest effect, leave a few loose tendrils down to frame your face.

Emma Stone long beachy waves, side swept bangsEmma Stone side swept bangs and chignon hairstyle

While she is not a natural redhead, Emma Stone is known mostly for the richness of her auburn hair color. This celebrity dyed her hair red in 2007, while filming Superbad, and rocked as one of Hollywood's most famous redheads for several years to come.

Emma's classic chignon look is a favorite but when worn down, think beachy waves and loose summery curls, with an auburn red cast. To get Emma's look, keep your face bang-free or opt for long side swept bangs that you can push-off your face. Emma did go back to her natural blonde in 2010, opting for a sweet, simple look with long, straight bangs and long locks. If you're looking to mirror her blonde hair color, it's a warm blonde with honey and caramel hair color tones.

Zooey Deschanel infamous blunt bangs at 2012 Golden Globes

Another celebrity whose hairstyles rank as 'top requests' is Zooey Deschanel. Known for her long chestnut-brown hair and blunt bangs, Deschanel's hairstyle complements her spunky style. To copy Zooey's hairstyle, cut long blunt bangs across your forehead. Wear it smooth and shiny by blow-drying with a smoothing serum and setting in large rollers. Or, try your hairdo half up and twist the updo into a braid, bun, or other style.

Straight-haired divas or curly girls can copy these celebrity hairstyles in cut, color, and styling. Combine your new 'do with a hot outfit, then hit the town.
