Having trouble finding blush that flatters your skin tone the most? Put your worries aside, for I am here to help you!

The first thing you need to ask yourself is what kind of skin do you have; Normal to dry…or Normal to oily skin?

1. Find what texture blush works best for you:

  • For normal to dry skin you should consider a creamy blush. This helps to give you that flawless and natural look (we all want to pretend we have such amazing skin and don't wear makeup, dont lie! :) . A cream blush will also give you that soft and beautiful glow in any type of climate. I remember I tried out a cream blush long ago, and it was greasy and I just didn't want to ever mess with it again…that was until I was introduced to it once again, and gave it another shot…low and behold, not greasy! It also stayed on all night. Some cream blushes I recommend:
Urban Decay Afterglow ($29) – Sephora
Tarte Cheek Stain ($30)

Stila Convertible Color Creme Blush ($25) - Sephora

  • From normal to oily skin you should try powder based blushes. Powder generally helps absorbs the oil from your face…making it look less greasy and more maintained. Here are some powder blushes I have used and would recommend:

Nars Blush ($27) - Narscosmetics.com, Sephora

Jouer mineral powder blush ($24) - jouercosmetics.com

Bare Minerals Blush ($19) – Sephora

2. Pick the shade that suits your skin tone best:

For Fair skin

Zooey Deschanel - Fair skin, stick with a soft pink to keep your look natural

color best used for fair skin types

For Medium skin

Heidi Klum - for medium skin tones stick with a darker pink or even a warm peachy look.

best for medium skin tones

For Dark skin

Gabrielle Union - darker skin tone should be based with a reddish brown blush

for darker skin tones
