Oh No They Didn't! - The 12 funniest women on TV (according to ...

There are lots of funny ladies out there in TV land. But when we asked Zimbio readers to choose which funny girl made them laugh the most, they came up with some familiar favorites and some fresh comedy faces. Check out the 12 gals that have us giggling.

1. Tina Fey Oh...

No surprises here — Zimbio voters chose funny lady Tina Fey as TV's most hilarious woman. Whether she's cracking us up as Liz Lemon on "30 Rock", amusing us with personal stories in Bossypants, or deftly impersonating Sarah Palin on SNL, Fey can always be counted on for a good laugh.

2. Jane Lynch

After years of hilarious turns in movies like Best in Show, Jane Lynch finally hit it big playing ridiculously over-the-top cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on "Glee". Lynch also put her comedy chops to good use hosting the 2011 Emmy Awards. Our favoriite Lynch Emmy joke had to be when she quipped, "A lot people are very curious as to why I'm a lesbian — ladies and gentleman, the cast of Entourage."

3. Amy Poehler should be #1 tbh

We're not afraid to admit that we've got a little bit of a crush on Amy Poehler. (who doesn't?) She's incredibly funny (and charming and sweet and inspiring) as city employee Leslie Knope on "Parks and Recreation". Poehler is also the kind of accessible funny gal you wish you could sit down and giggle with over a glass of wine (or two).

4. Alyson Hannigan

Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segal may get more of the headlines, but Zimbio voters think that "How I Met Your Mother"'s Alyson Hannigan deserves a whole lot of praise for her hilarious work. The former Buffy cutie scores laughs week in and week out by milking things like Lily's "pregnancy brain" and the great ducky tie debacle for all they're worth. And boy can she deliver the line: "You son of a bitch!"

5. Zooey Deschenal No

"The New Girl" is one of the season's biggest freshmen success stories, thanks in no small part to Zooey Deschanel's fearless, ridiculous, and sometimes totally humiliating performance as Jess. Deschanel has a way of taking a comedy bit so far past the point of awkwardness that it somehow becomes side-splittingly funny — and we love every quirky minute of it.

6. Christina Applegate

It's no faint praise to say that Christina Applegate more than holds her own against comedy heavyweights like Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph on the new sitcom "Up All Night". As new mom Reagan Brinkley, Applegate (also a new mother herself) is equal parts joyful, manic, exhausted, and capable. She's the funny woman we all wish we could be.

7. Courteney Cox

We were bummed when ABC left "Cougar Town" off of its midseason schedule, but we're so happy to finally have the merry gang of wine guzzlers back on our televisions. Courteney Cox and the rest of the "Cougar Town" cast deserve all the credit in the world for turning an unfortunately named sitcom into one of TV's most surprisingly hilarious shows.

8. Sofia Vergara

With her thick accent and her cartoonishly sexy persona, Sofia Vergara steals pretty much every single scene she appears in on "Modern Family". And though Vergara plays up her accent and attributes for all they're worth, she's also got wicked comedic timing and an impeccable instinct for knowing when to throw a line away and when to milk it. Our favorite recent Gloria gem? "In my country, it is considered very, very bad luck when your house burns down."

9. Kristen Wiig lol no

It's been a pretty great year for Kristen Wiig. After years of killing it on "Saturday Night Live", Wiig scored a big screen hit with Bridesmaids, which was far and away the funniest movie of the year. Amidst rumors that she'll leave SNL at the end of the season, Wiig continues to make us laugh every Saturday night with newly created comedy characters like talk show host Kalle and professional flirter Rebecca LaRue.

10. Melissa McCarthy

And speaking of Bridesmaids, Melissa McCarthy sure did let us know that she's a comedy force to be reckoned with in that movie, didn't she? In a hilarious beauty pageant bit at this year's Emmy Awards, McCarthy also took home the prize for Best Comedy Actress for her work on the CBS sitcom "Mike and Molly". Looks like comedy may have found a brand new queen.

11. Jane Krakowski

The Zimbio readers have lots of love for "30 Rock"! Not only did Tina Fey nab the top slot on our funny TV lady list, but Jane Krakowski also scored a spot. Krakowski is pathologically vain, fantastically foolish, and always laugh out loud funny as fading TV star Jenna Maroney.

12. Kaley Cuoco lol umm....

Kaley Cuoco's role on "The Big Bang Theory" could have just been that of a hot girl who the nerds lust after. But thankfully Cuoco has used her skills to make Penny a key part of the Big Bang comedy ensemble. The actress isn't afraid to make a fool out of herself for a few laughs outside of her sitcom either, as evidenced by the silly workout wear she sported when she hosted this year's Teen Choice Awards.

Do you agree with this list, ONTD? Anyone you would add/replace/take-off?
