Who can argue that Zooey Deschanel is not one of the gnarliest girls around? First off, she is hilarious. She can take anything and make it the funniest, most awkward thing you could hear or see. No, I do not know this personally, but I can imagine it from what I have seen from her acting and read on her website, Hellogiggles.com, which she co-founded with two of her besties.

Even though she is now one of the most well-known actresses and singers around the globe, she seems to be so down-to-earth and chill just like the rest of us. I love that she loves social networking in the fun, quirky way where she posts random pictures of what she's doing or wearing (like her tuxedo nails at the Golden Globes) to presents she got her friends for Christmas – on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. It's definitely awesome that she cares to connect with all of the people that look up to her and think she is so rad!
One of my favorite things about Zooey are her outfits, they are absolutely amazing. She makes vintage clothing look even more adorable or "adorkable" (as many people call her in her show 'The New Girl') with all of the fun dresses, skirts, tops and accessories that she wears. She inspires me to take my laid back, chill style and make it a bit more girly. And from what I hear, she is one of the best thrifters ever – I know I've even heard about some great vintage websites from her posts!

It seems like more and more often we hear about all of these girls who are "celebrities" that turn into not quite the best role models for younger girls. It's so awesome to see that Zooey, a girl who is an Actress, Singer, face for Rimmel London, Hello Giggles co-founder/frequent contributor, iPhone ad girl and more can relate to so many different people and is one of the best role models around for girls to look up to. I mean, check out what the President of the United States sent her on her birthday – only a true role model would be able to pull that out of a hat! I think we can all agree that we would love to meet this gnarly role model someday, and possibly have some giggles with her.
