There is plenty of action on broadcast television for primetime Tuesday, May 29, 2012. We are looking at ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS, and the CW. As many series have finished for the season, some are left in a state of withdrawal. Not to worry, dearies. There are new shows up and running to keep you going.
Beginning at 8pm on ABC, you can catch the first part of a two-part episode of Cougar Town: My Life; Your World. David Arquette guest stars so it will be fun. At 9pm, ABC is kicking things into high gear with the 20/20 special The Jubilee Queen with Katie Couric. The episode runs for two hours and will feature the royal princes William, Harry, and Andrew as well as the princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Katie Couric will conduct interviews with members of Her Majesty's staff. This is sure to keep some young fans up late as they get a look at the handsome princes! Of course, we can expect Katie Couric will do a thorough job on her interview as she goes inside the castle to give Americans a rare-behind-the-scenes look at the royal fabulousness.
Jamie Lee Curtis will guest star on CBS' NCIS from 8pm-9pm in the episode Psych Out, followed by NCIS: Los Angeles from 9pm-10pm with guest stars LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell in the episode Betrayal. CBS airs 48 Hours Mystery at 10pm and the case tonight focuses on Eric Naposki, the former New England Patriots player who speaks from prison and says he is not guilty of murder.
Unfortunately (or fortunately if you have missed New Girl and want to catch up), Fox is running reruns of their hit show starring Zooey Deschanel. With four back-to-back episodes running from 8pm-10pm. The episodes include Injured, Jess and Julia, Fancyman (part 1) and Fancyman (part 2). Dermot Mulroney guest stars as Jess' older boyfriend.
NBC keeps things going with America's Got Talent featuring judges Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne, and new judge Howard Stern. America's Got Talent is still in the audition stage and runs from 8pm-10pm. Following America's Got Talent is one of NBC's latest hits Grimm that is showing up on a new night, at least for now, anyway. This is season 1, episode 13 "Three Coins in a…" and the show runs from 10pm-11pm.
The CW brings something new to the table with the premiere of The Catalina from 8pm-9pm. The episode is titled "Spring Breakdown" and features a spring-break-pool part that does not go as planned. Following is The LA Complex that airs from 9pm-10pm and is the sixth episode from season one "Burn it Down."
PBS airs the second episode from the series: Civilization: The West and the Rest with Niall Ferguson. Join Niall Ferguson as he explores the political and philosophical contributions that shaped the Western hemisphere in this two-hour episode. Frontline follows from 10pm-11pm with a special look at Al Qaeda in the episode Al Qaeda in Yemen.
