We (Hate/Love) Tuesdays (Sale Picks, Lists, and Laments) - Nice ...
May 17th 2012, 22:30

A couple weeks ago, feeling like I wasn't keeping good track of what I'd purchased/spent and what I wanted to purchase/spend, I wrote up two lists to post over my desk, so I could remind myself not to impulse buy. One list is "Things I've Bought/Am Willing to Buy at Full Price" and the other is "Things I Want at Sale Price." I told Kathryn about these lists, and -

Kathryn here! I thought this was a great idea, so I decided to compose my own lists as well! I stand in solidarity with Carol!

...yes, it looks like she drafted her own too, hahaha! You can see our complete lists at the end of this post.

I can't begin to describe my feelings early this morning, when I glanced at Roxy's sale lists and saw that TWO of the dresses I've been pining for have gone on sale. On the one hand, it's so exciting, because they're on sale! On the other hand, they're Tracy Reese dresses, which mean that even on sale, they're still the price of most full price Anthropologie dresses. And I've already spent my August allowance for clothes and then some.

*Quiet weeping and sniffles ensue.*

*Kathryn weeps and sniffles too.*

The Compeer dress never made it to the San Diego stores, sadly, so I haven't had the opportunity to try it on. However, you know me. Shirtdress? Check. Bright fun color? Check. Pretty details? Check.

Kathryn here. I've been wanting the Compeer for a long time myself, but like Carol said - even on sale it's still pricey. I feel like I could get a lot of use out of it though, so in terms of cost-per-wear, maybe it all works out in the end? Maybe?

Or, maybe I can cross my fingers and hope it makes it to a second cut. *crossing fingers*

I actually had the opportunity to try and and review the Choreographed Dress (see review here). I love love love this dress. It was so great, in so many respects. And I think I could transition it into the fall, no problem. How easy to layer a long sleeve tissue tee under the dress and throw on some cute tights and coat. It's so nice. Nicely constructed, nicely detailed, nicely finished...sigh. Oh, were the price only slightly nicer!

So, my full price lists include the following:
1. Molded and Melded Tee, white
2. Frill Force Jacket (purchased)
3. Dog Trot Cardi (purchased)
4. Mystery Tweed Pheasant Skirt
5. Finishing School Skirt (purchased)
6. Falling Folds Pants
7. Bianka Blouse

My sale price list (so far):
1. Choreographed Dress (on sale - ack! What to do?)
2. Compeer Dress (on sale - *sob*)
3. Sugar and Cream Dress
4. Mullany Dress
5. Remaining Lilies Sweater
6. Scribbled Bouquet Cardigan
7. Jet Stream Cardi (on sale! But maybe I can let this one pass...)
8. Lima Lines Skirt

Kathryn again! There's sooo much cute Fall/Winter stuff at Anthro right now, I seriously feel like I could put the entire store in my shopping cart right now.

...okay, maybe not the Poni Cardigan.

Annnnyway, here are my current wishlists...

Kathryn's full price list:

1. Mystery Idra Jacket (which I tried on here)
2. Acting Out Skirt (purchased)
3. Babergh Dress (would rather purchase on sale, but...)
4. Bianka Blouse (thinking about this one...)

Kathryn's Sale Price List:

1. Once & Always Tee
2. Lima Lines Skirt
3. Mullany Dress
4. Remaining Lilies Cardigan
5. Compeer Dress (*weeping with Carol over this*)
6. Tiny Windows Dress (also on sale - wahhh!)
7. Secret Treasure Dress
8. Graces Tank
9. Pinpointed Skimmers (on sale, but I can't decide if they'll hurt my feet)

So tell us, dear readers...what's on your list?
