On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the The LA Nokia Center in downtown Los Angles for the 2012 ESPYS Awards presented by Capital One. Some of the biggest stars from the worlds of sports and entertainment gathered to celebrate to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. Some of this year's winners included Brittney Griner, Shaun White, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Coughlin, Diana Taurasi, Matthew Stafford, and Robert Griffin III. LeBron James won for Best Championship Performance, Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete. James is the first NBA player to win an ESPY for Best Championship Performance and as MVP in NBA Finals. Fans got involved in the show by voting via ESPN.com and Twitter for the Best Team. The NBA's Miami Heat were the clear winners. Rob Riggle hosted the event that featured Jessica Biel, Connie Britton, Kenny Chesney, Zooey Deschanel, Cody Horn, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kemp, Peyton Manning, Joel McHale, Olivia Munn, Rob Lowe, Steve Nash, Hayden Panettiere, Danica Patrick, and Jeremy Renner as award presenters.
