Zooey Deschanel might be reluctant to call herself a fashion icon but she is very interested in style. However the most important thing for the quirky actress is finding key pieces that other people do not have.
The 32-year-old has told fashion magazine, Look:
"To be honest, I have a strange relationship with the fashion world. Most of the things I buy are vintage finds that I get in thrift stories in Ventura, California. I think half the fun is finding a Chanel suit crumpled in a bin bag for 50 cents,"
She obviously does not shop in my Islington charity shop where you are more likely to find New Look than Chanel….
Zooey, currently staring in the Fox series, New Girl, has said that she loves shopping with friends and seeing how the same item can look so different on different people:
"Everyone tries on the same thing and you see how a dress takes on the personality of the wearer,"
"I think that's interesting about fashion is that it's so practical and whimsical at the same time."
