After a whole summer of waiting, Fox’s “New Girl” returned this fall with new wacky, crazy and funny episodes.
Sometimes this show is so funny that before it even starts I just burst into laughter. I don’t know if it’s just the fact that I expect to laugh or that I’m excited to see the show. Either way, when you watch the show just know that you will laughing from start to finish.
The very first episode of “New Girl” was great. The main character is Jess Day played by the very witty Zooey Deschanel. In the episode Jess gets fired from her teaching job and she goes into a state of depression. But her roommate Nick Miller, played by Jake Johnson, is by her side and cheers her up.
With that said, this show just makes one wonder when they will get together. We can obviously see that they are getting closer, their connection as friends is increasing but they just don’t get together. And the day that Nick and Jess get together I will be super happy and I know I’m not the only one who will be.
By the second episode, Jess decides to get out in the dating field. She meets, not one but two guys. So Jess decides to start dating both of them. Well, obviously it doesn’t turn out as planned it all gets revealed and Jess has to deal with the fact that she is now considered a cheater. But hey, one of the guys she cheated on was willing to stay with her but later they break up.
Overall, the show is laugh out loud funny. There is never a dull moment with them. And with supporting characters like Schmitt, Winston and Cece, the show gets even better.
So if your Tuesday TV lined up isn’t filled up yet, I highly recommend New Girl gets added. It’s a great show and it’s “adorkable”, just like the characters.
New Girl airs on Fox Tuesday at 8/7c.
