So I may or may not be a little tipsy right now. I’ve been drinking Franzia tonight, and apparently they consider their wine “The World’s Most Popular Wine”…
Well, I don’t know about you, but I’ve never voted for the World’s Best Wine, or most popular. I wonder how they get these rankings? It reminds me of the movie Elf when Will Ferrel decided to take Zooey Deschanel to enjoy the best cup of coffee with him. I can’t get over how much thought I’ve put into this. I’m wondering what kind of polls they took to get these numbers. Most popular wine? Or cheapest? Because I’m pretty sure that Franzia is the best boxed wine I’ve bought, but it’s definitely not the best wine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m feeling pretty damn good right now, and I suppose that’s why we drink wine… but it’s not the best. I’ve had marvelous glasses of wine at 21 West and even Applebees! My friend once bought me an amazing bottle of wine, and it was much better than this Franzia Sangria stuff.
I shall not judge! I bought the wine. An entire box of it. Yeah. 5 liters.
I should go. I’ve been watching Ellen DeGeneres videos for two hours now. Her show is so funny, but not as funny as the thought of wine manufacturers sending out voting polls. I picture drunk men and women pulling a blue curtain shut behind them as they taste test wine and decide which is the best.
Maybe they really ARE the World’s Most Popular Wine.
