Chinese New Year is just around the corner and for those of you who don’t know, it is the year of the snake! Don’t start shrieking yet… did you know that the snake represents fertility, prosperity and abundance? Also, there’s an old saying that if you have snakes living under your house floors, a deity would guard the household from evil and protect its wealth. Well, whatever it is, I’m taking it as a good sign!
It’s not very likely I’ll be raising snakes in my house to bring in wealth and protect myself from evil, but what I’ll do is get some snakeskin accessories or any snake jewellery – since this trend is such a classic, I can wear it all year round too!
