Golden Globes 2013: Best and Worst Dressed Living Fiesta

Jessica Alba

EVERYTHING about this Oscar de la Renta look is working for Jessica Alba. The coral color, contrasting hand bag and lip and her blinged out necklace. Easily one of the best dressed of the night.

Lea Michele

Lea Michele doesn’t have too many horrible moments but she’s also never wowed me before. In a high neck Elie Saab gown with a high slit the Glee star is showing the right amount of sexy sophistication.

Kerry Washington

Scandal star Kerry Washington has been KILLING IT at her Django Unchained premieres and her appearance at the Globes was no different. Her ‘less is more’ approach to this sheer neutral Miu Miu gown worked perfectly.

Kate Hudson

Glee‘s Kate Hudson worked it in this Alexander McQueen dress! It’s simple full-covered style is offest nicely by the intricate gold details at the neck and waist and the large cleavage cutout that still manages to leave a lot to the imagination.

Taylor Swift

Few people have nailed a signature look like Taylor Swift – red lip, perfectly defined waves and a simple dress in a neutral tone, but I’m glad to see that she’s ventured out for the Golden Globes. The ‘Best Original Song’ nominee ventured out of her comfort zone with a deep purple Donna Karan gown with a fishtail bottom, sleek undo and natural makeup. This was a far more grown up look than we’re used to seeing on TSwizzle, perhaps part of growing up her image, and it works well.

Hayden Panettiere

‘Best Supporting Actress’ nominee Hayden Panettiere has been on her ‘A’ game lately, and the Golden Globes were no different. In her Roberto Cavalli mermaid dress, Hayden is giving Sofia Vergara a run for her money. Work it!

Zooey Deschanel

Haven’t we seen this look before? The New Girl‘s Zooey Deschanel wore almost the exact same look to the Primetime Emmy’s. This red seems to work a lot better for her than the ice blue hue she chose in September.

Adele

Adele Burberry

Perhaps I should give the Grammy-winning singer a break since she just had a baby, but I know that Adele can do better than this Burberry gown. This is her first appearance since giving birth, so I’m eager for her to redeem herself at her next red carpet.

Amy Poehler

What’s the best revenge for a break up? Show up looking GORGEOUS and make your ex jealous. Heidi Klum seems to have gotten the message, why didn’t Amy Poehler? As a newly single woman hosting the Golden Globes she should have put more thought into picking a stunning gown instead of this Stella McCartney pantsuit.

Mayim Bialik

I can appreciate that the Big Bang Theory star may have wanted to keep things conservative but this is a bit too frumpy for Mayim Bialik. Maybe a little more effort into her hair would’ve helped this look.
