Since Christina Hendricks appears to have fallen off the current events map, I figured I’d start the week off with her second-in-command: Zooey Deschanel.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine the New Girl actress opened up about being teased as a child and why she now wants to inspire young women.
Remembering the hell she often experienced when she was younger, she revealed: “People really teased me. It was really bad. Nothing could be as hard as middle school. There were insecurities that I think I would have worked through a lot faster if I’d had certain tools and could have connected with certain people earlier.”
Her own struggles are what have inspired the pretty brunette to become a role model herself.
You may find this difficult to believe, but I was bullied unmercifully in grade school. Now I’m a published author, uber-successful blogger, and wealthy man about town… so now I only get bullied by my kids and the occasional wiseass commenter.
