A fashion personality allows us to express our spirit and our character without saying a word. We don’t even have to talk, I mean how fun is that? I’ve always enjoyed the ability to show the world what kind of a person I am simply with the way I style myself. Generally, our personalities can be described as one of these five categories: sporty, romantic, classic, dramatic, or natural. To better understand, I’ve called upon some close personal style icons (eh hem celebrities) to help me explain.
Gwen Stefani is the epitome of a sporty fashion personality:
The main goal is comfort when dressing a sporty personality. If you’re like Gwen, you probably aren’t interested in high heels or tight jeans on a daily basis. Sure you may get “glammed” up for a special event, but we wont catch you running errands in your Christian Louboutin heels any time soon.
The feminine Zooey Deschanel is the perfect example of a romantic fashion personality:
Doesn’t this doll just scream femininity? As a romantic fashion personality, you favor soft flowing fabrics, ruffles, lace, and bows. A fan of delicate details, this personality sounds like a lovely style to me!
Not only in her beauty and acting, Reese Witherspoon is classic when making fashion decisions as well:
A classic beauty, like Reese, chooses pieces that tend to be on the more conservative side but more importantly can be worn for ages. Classic fashion personalities focus on a great fit and a classic shape, and usually stay away from overly trendy styles.
Drama finds it’s way into fashion with the likes of musical sensation Rihanna:
As you can tell, dramatic fashion personalities dress to stand out from the crowd. Often incorporating leather, studs, and other dynamic materials, we see bold statements from dramatic fashion personalities.
In our final personality, we look to Rachel Bilson to demonstrate her natural sense of style:
Casually dressed, a natural style is one of ease and simplicity. A cozy sweater and boyfriend jeans, as seen on Rachel Bilson, are staples in a natural personality’s wardrobe. We usually see this type of person dressed in comfortable fabrics and low maintenance hair and makeup.
Personally I don’t think I can put myself in just one box, but now that we’ve explored all five fashion personalities, which category do you fall under?
