Rossella Jardini is the “most elegant women [she] knows”.
The creative director of Moschino loves dressing to impress, and regularly sports catwalk looks during the day.
Rossella says her chic sense of style is a result of the women before her.
“I’m a great shopper! I love fashion and I own a lot of clothes. It’s in my genes – my grandmother was renowned for her elegance and dedication to fashion and my mother had graceful good taste,” she explained in an interview with British magazine Grazia. “I would say I’m the most elegant woman I know.
“I like to wear menswear in feminine colours and I have a penchant for flesh pink. In fact, I love every shade of pink. I also love to look bejewelled. Some mornings I feel like a more eccentric look and I dress for a cocktail party for the day.”
Moschino is a label loved by a host of stars including Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus, Dita Von Teese and Zooey Deschanel.
However Rossella has revealed the person she’d most like to style.
“I always say I would love to dress Her Majesty the Queen, and I have always admired both her and Margaret Thatcher [late former British Prime Minister] because of their sense of decency and because they never put a foot wrong,” she gushed.
Rossella took over creative direction of Moschino in 1994. She says working with late founder Franco was a joy.
“I found Franco exciting and entertaining to work with on the pret-a-porter collections and accessories,” she said.
“But now my role is to make Moshino recognised with a dignified, coherent, stylistic approach, and that can be everything from the colour palette to the flowers in the studio.”
