Everyone knows about Larry Fitzgerald, but another Arizona Cardinals wide receiver is emerging as an attractive fantasy option.
Fourth-year man Andre Roberts had a breakout performance in Week 1, catching a career-high eight passes for 97 yards in Arizona’s 27-24 loss to the St. Louis Rams. He failed to reach the endzone, but Roberts’ potential for fantasy production was evident.
Roberts has shown some improvement every season, and now that Carson Palmer is under center, The Citadel product is ready to make some major strides. Palmer clearly trusted him on Sunday, throwing nine passes his way, and Roberts didn’t disappoint.
His routes were clean, his hands were reliable, and he proved that he can be productive opposite Fitzgerald.
Roberts — who is owned in just 28.8 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues — is still far from a sure-fire start in Week 2. However, he is a solid third or fourth option for your team. Keep an eye on him next week, and if he impresses again, give him the start Week 3 against New Orleans.
