The 2013 Emmy awards have been handed out and everyone has partied until the wee hours of the morning, but the best dressed and beauty trends keep rolling in.
Sofia Vergara turned heads on the carpet with her $7 million display and found herself on the best dressed lists at People, Harpers Bazaar and Elle. She was joined by fellow stars like January Jones and the adorable Zooey Deschanel.
The hair trends were a mix of simplicity and elegance with lots of curls!
Sofia Vergara, Zooey Deschanel and Allison Williams all opted for soft romantic curls and waves that were shiny yet still soft and voluminous. It’s Zooey’s signature style so I would have loved to see something fresh and new from her, but you know what they say about things that aren’t broken.
Heidi Klum, Maria Menounos and Kiernan Shipka each had their own vision of an updo. Heidi’s was sleek tail that blossomed in to a voluminous tiered ponytail. It was super chic and very…well…Heidi! Maria wasn’t afraid of a little height!
Carrie Underwood, January Jones and Christina Hendricks all opted for Veronica Lake-inspired waves – an ode to a classic – and a perfect choice for these leading ladies.
One thing these looks had in common…massive amounts of volume. This is just further proof that big, beautiful and bouncy hair is back. Give those flat irons a vacation ladies! (Don’t pitch them though! I’m sure the stick straight style will make another return down the road.)
