The title of this post pretty much says it, TWC’s VAMPIRE ACADEMY now arrives one week earlier than scheduled and Open Road Films’ A HAUNTED HOUSE 2 has been pushed back three weeks later.
Olga Kurylenko plays Kirova, the hadmistress in the adaptation of VAMPIRE ACADEMY based on the book series by author Richelle Mead. There are six books. The series has sold well over 3.5 million copies domestically and 1 million copies internationally.
Reliance and IM GLobal are co-financing the first installment and it’s titled VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS, they’ve already cast Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry as Rose and Lissa respectively, and Danila Kozlovski plays Dimitri. TWC wil distribute the film. Also starring Gabriel Byrne, Joely Richardson and Danila Kozlovsky. Mark Waters will direct from a screenplay by Daniel Waters.
