9 Movies You Need To Put On Your Must See List | UnMotivating

Not sure what to watch during your next movie night? And, we’re not talking about date night – movie night….because we all know those never result in truly watching the movie. These are movies you really need to watch from start to finish, and you will be glad you did! Great plots, great twists, great acting! You know….these are movies that leave you discussing it days after. That’s when you know a movie is really good. These made the cut….enjoy!

Hard Candy – 2005

DIhGji8

A movie that is much better if you go into it without knowing anything about it. All I will say is that a young Ellen Page is chilling and I loved the end of this movie.

Cemetery Junction – 2010

osiZ8nC

Written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant, this is a British coming-of-age drama. Admittedly, the ending is predictable but the journey is well worth it. Plus, if you don’t like Slade, we can’t be friends.

Mystery Team – 2009

56RROkW

Starring Childish Gambino himself, a bunch of childhood friends continue to operate a detective agency. Mocked and ridiculed, they stumble into a real-life mystery. Can they solve it?

Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel – 2009

Bj4puXG

Easily one of the best movies with time travel as a major plot point, it follows Chris O’Dowd, a cynical nobody, who ends up traveling through time with his two friends. (And Anna Faris, in her best role.)

Manic – 2001

rkxygDL

Another film starring JGL and Zooey Deschanel. Ugh, right? (Wrong!) It centers around Lyle Jensen, a violent teen who is sent to a mental institution.

Seven Psychopaths – 2012

TNgEiVO

Probably the most popular movie on this list, Seven Psychopaths has too many great characters to name. I will say that Christopher Walken’s is my favorite. (Sam Rockwell is a close second.)

Stranger Than Fiction – 2006

cwM9SNV

Easily Will Ferrell’s greatest role. (And this is coming from someone who loves Anchorman with a passion.) Really unique in its storytelling, it rewards those who watch it.

Whip It – 2009

KgH5buP

Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, Whip It is pretty formulaic and there are no real twists. But it is still a heart-warming tale about friendship and following your heart.

Wild Target – 2009

OrRDfnc

Probably one of my favorite movies of the last few years, Wild Target stars Bill Nighy as an assassin who is drawn to his target, Emily Blunt. Also starring Rupert Grint and Martin Freeman, it is unbelievably hilarious.

Get the popcorn out! Share with your movie loving friends!
