She's cute, quirky, musically gifted and most certainly the "IT" girl of the moment.
Zooey Deschanel is probably not the traditional dykon, but we have to agree with our heteorsexual brothers who are swooning over her, she is ADORABLE! We kinda grooved her in 500 Days of Summer and are really digging her in New Girl – but being a media darling isn't enough for us to nominate for "Women We Love"…We've got some other solid reasons:
- Healthy Eater: As long as we don't have to cook for her, we totally admire her diet. Deschanel is allergic to eggs, dairy, and wheat gluten and has tried to stay as close to vegan as her she can.
- Funny Lady: On The New Girl, she is so funny she's almost brings us to tears. And don't get me started on her Saturday Night Live appearance – she even poked fun at herself. Topping it off, she recently launched HelloGiggles, an entertainment website geared towards women.
- America's Sweetheart: Even though she is a mega-star, there's something very "girl next door" about her. And by "girl next door," we mean a combination of adorable and hot. Maybe it's her warm smile or bright eyes. We'll stop with the virtual panting now.
Now, there might be some of you out there who aren't keen on Zooey. You think she's a bit too much, tries too hard, isn't as adorable as the media want us to believe. But that's just plain silly. Because she is that adorable!
