I have strong views on airbrushing. I think it is fine to correct blemishes etc but hate it when it is used to completely change someones face or body to unrealistic standards. It makes some women strive for the impossible and totally agree that photo's should have disclosures on them to prevent young girls getting confused with what is real and what is clearly fantasy.
Here is the perfect example of that:
This is Demi Moore in a new photograph for Helena Rubinstein's beauty collection. This picture may seem "normal" until you compare it to a recent photo of Demi.
Seriously?!?! Here are a few more rediculous photoshop disasters:
Why have a beautiful lady like Adele of the cover of Vogue, just the photo shop her so much she doesn't even look like her anymore? Surely we should be celebrating a curvy girl in the public eye? obviously not!
Another cracker from Vogue. Elongated neck or half giraffe?
Zooey Deschanel? Again why pay for a celebrity to endorse your products just to make her unrecognisable through the power of computer software?
