When you think of celebrities and their pets, what names come to mind? Paris Hilton? Oprah? Zooey Deschanel?
We're excited to be including some of the local Colorado celebrities at the opening of our newest Colorado location in Aurora on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, 2012. This celebration, encompassing ALL of the Colorado stores, kicks off with a very special pet art project, including activities at each of the three current locations—Cherry Creek, Centennial and Littleton.
Local celebrities from media, entertainment, business, sports and politics are being invited to participate for a chance to create and share their artistic vision of a simple dog or cat figure. The guest "artists" will be given a model of a dog or cat to paint or decorate. Judging of the ten "painted pets" will be held at the Chuck & Don's booth at the Annual Furry Scurry on May 5th following the race. Phillip Tedeschi of Animal Planet fame and Clinical Director of DU's Human-Animal Connection will judge the pet artwork.
