The cashmere cardigan is truly a timeless fashion piece.
In vintage, look for Scottish cashmere. It's yarn is made from the longest hairs and twisted into the tightest plys.
You can find them on eBay, Etsy, or even the thrift store.
To make the hunt quicker, go by touch. When you feel a soft sweater, stop and check out the label. You can wash cashmere in cold water and lay it flat to dry. It doesn't have to be drycleaned. Your sweater will actually get softer with every wash.
If you pick bright colors like Zooey, they'll be flattering, super versatile and will last you a lifetime.
