Zooey Deschanel Talks New Music and New Girl

As the end of Season 1 of New Girl draws near, Zooey says she is looking forward to the break…

"I know that I definitely need to rest," she says, adding that music seems to be calling more than film. "I really want to bet back into the studio. I have a lot of stuff I want to record and a lot of songs I've written."

But Zooey says she loves filming and being on set, especially getting to develop a character over a long period of time. And that character will  be getting a new love interest she says come Season 2 in the form of Dermot Mulroney….you know him, remember the hunk from My Best Friend's WeddingYeah.

When asked if her 500 Days of Summer co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will ever grace New Girl, she replied nonchalantly with, "I don't know. He's so busy." So vague Zooey!

Leslie Mann Signs on with Sofia Coppola…

Funny girl Leslie Mann (The 40 Year Old Virgin) has signed on to play the mother role in Sofia Coppola's newest film, Bling Ring. She joins lead actress Emma Watson in a true story about a group of Beverly Hills teens who are so obsessed with fashion and fame that they break into celebrities' homes.

This should be interesting…It'll be Sofia's first film since Somewhere with Elle Fanning.
