So y'all, I've somehow been sucked into the show 'New Girl'! And now I'm wondering why I didn't start watching it before and why I should still bother trying to catch up with Gossip Girl in the holidays. Cos seriously, 'New Girl' aka Jess Day aka Zooey Deschanel is seriously the coolest friend crush ever.

Plot overview
So, a girl has a relationship for six years and then has a bad breakup with her boyf. Sound familiar so far?
Then, she moves into an apartment and becomes roommates with three dudes. Sound familiar and somewhat scandalous?
B U T She doesn't hook up with them in the first five minutes! Surprise! (I'm glaring at you Gossip Girl)
Hilarity ensues. Beautiful F R I E N D S H I P S ensue. More hilarity ensues.

Things to love about the New Girl (after all, she's just your regular girl next door! Maybe...)
- She randomly bursts into song all the time
- She dances like a wacko
- She makes Daffy Duck and Kermit the Frog impressions like a wacko
- She I S a wacko
- She's not afraid to be a wacko
- She likes high waisted shorts and bows and electric blue coloured flats
- She can really put a smile on your face

Adventures (or tragedies) you're likely to get into with Jess
- Your TV will break
- She will give you tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of relationship advice
- She'll make you join her on crochet nights
- She'll watch Dirty Dancing ten billion times
- She'll make you help her coach kids to sing/play instruments, a la Glee styles
- You can become friends with her supermodel best friend, Cece

The roommates
Nick
Has issues. Just out of a horrible relationship, very sensitive, overthinks. Is crazy when he's drunk. Stingy, and does not visit the doctor when he's sick. EVER. Can be very very very very cynical, haha. This guy will either love you and do everything he can to be a good friend for you, or not like you at all and insult you all the time. The former is more likely though, maybe.

Schmidt
Also has issues. O C D, anyone? This guy will cook and clean for you like a housemaid if you ever stay at his place. Oh, and probably pick your clothes. Or insult your haircut.
Known for his 'douchebaggy' playa tendencies at times, the other members of the household will put money into the Douchebag Jar every time he does Douchebaggy things. And trust me, the jar is always filled.

Winston
Is... relatively normal? Scratch that, has issues. Recently back from playing basketball in Latvia, he's probably even less down with the lingo than I am. And that's saying something.  And he can't keep jobs at all, he gets bored way too easily.  HOWEVER he is relatively more rational (or not) and is a bad-boy-turned-good. YAY!

So overall, a loveable group of guys eh? HAHA, maybe they don't sound like it. But they are. Even though they give horrible relationship advice sometimes.

So y'know, if you have spare time in the holidays and nothing to watch.......... ;)
