Monday night was New Girl night at Paley Fest in Los Angeles and the show's stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Harris, Hannah Simone and creator Liz Meriwether were on hand at the Saban Theater to dish dirt on the show, their fellow cast mates and future episodes.
There was a packed house for the freshman show and everyone enjoyed an advanced screening of Tuesday night's episode, which centers around Jake's character Nick. If you've seen the episode by now, you know there was a sports accident, a trip to Jess' OB/GYN, skinnydipping in the ocean and a broken down vehicle all in the episode… kind of a lot and definitely hilarious.
We caught up with Zooey and company before the event and got details on the exact moment they knew the show was a hit and who their dream guest stars would be. Specifically, we asked Zooey what the chances were of Joseph Gordon Levitt guest starring on the show.
"Probably low," she said, citing that he is committed to several big projects at the moment, including his website HitRecord.org and also the many films listed on his IMDb page.
