Recent reports will have you believe newly single comedian Russell Brand flirted with Zooey Deschanel, just weeks after he split from Katy Perry.
But it turns out there's no truth to the rumor.
It was claimed that Russell was trying to woo the New Girl star – who some people think looks pretty similar to Katy.
However, Deschanel has shot down the story, saying it's "complete fabrication!"
The actress, who describes herself as being all bangs and eyes, added to The Guardian: "I don't even know him!
"I maybe met him once, in passing, four years ago," she shared. "And he definitely doesn't have my phone number!"
Zooey added: "That was a story made up by a single website. It's crazy how that got picked up – I mean how does that even happen?"
Yesterday Deschanel defended Lindsay Lohan, after her SNL hosting gig was criticized.
