Cabin in the Woods. Awesome. As a bigtime horror fan, I really loved this for... well, I can't tell you why! Because it would ruin the movie! Seriously. I'm just not willing to do that because it is that good (unless you're not very familiar with horror movies, in which case your milage may vary). It's clever and scary and funny and totally unexpected in the best way. But if you've already seen the movie (or insist on ruining it for yourself – shame on you!), then I recommend reading this review.

The Lucky One. Dreck. Cliché-filled, badly-written, underdeveloped (or really, undeveloped), exploitative dreck. I mean, basically your average Nicholas Sparks film. Taylor Schilling is bleh, Zefron is a huge disappointment in the acting department (damn, I really hope he can redeem himself because honestly, I loved 17 Again), but there is a cute little kid who plays chess. The big upside? As I mentioned before, tons of Efron ass. Which obviously makes it 100% worthwhile.

Our Idiot Brother. Pretty good. Nothing amazing or very original, but the cast is excellent (Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer) and the whole thing is fairly funny. Enjoyable, but ultimately forgettable - which is why I can't even relate the particulars of the plot to you. I forgot them.

We Bought a Zoo. I'm surprised I even watched this, but it was really cute. Suuuper PG, obviously, with some semi-ridiculous plot points, but still pretty enjoyable. I want Matt Damon to be my uncle and Maggie Elizabeth Jones is incredibly freaking cute. It's also hilarious how tall Elle Fanning is compared to the boy she likes (she is two years older than him, but supposed to be two years younger than him in the movie...).

The Moth Diaries. Terrible! Terrible. Starts off okay, probably only because I love any story that takes place at an austere university or a boarding school (this on takes place in the latter), but quickly spirals into stupid, worn plot points and clichés about vampires and girls who go to all-girls schools (lesbians! duh!). Also, it's never scary. Ever. (Well, except for Lily Cole's face – and I don't mean that in a mean way. Her face can be genuinely frightening. So can her tallness.) Not only that, but it's boring – which is the worst offense a horror movie can make.

Dream House. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but that's not saying very much. Considering the entire plot is revealed in the trailer, it's basically exactly what you'll expect it to be. Still, it's filled with enough likeable famous people (Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Daniel Craig) to be an okay way to waste a couple hours.
