"What's that? I'm fly? Yes, I know."
I have to admit that since moving to DC from NYC, I have been starved for real-life, in-person celebrities and fashion. Living in NYC, you always saw celebrities out. Sarah Jessica Parker on the street in the West Village by her home, Betsey Johnson in Fred's CafĂ© inside Barney's, Tatum O'Neal at Bar Pitti, Marcus Samuelsson at Broadway Panhandler, and every model imaginable – Alek Wek, Joan Smalls, Liya Kebede, Jessica Stam, you name it. And as far as fashion, my girls in NYC are doing it, with random pairings of hi and low fashion, and accessories from all over. Not all my DC ladies are working it like that.
But this year, I was particularly excited that the White House Correspondent's Dinner was coming to DC. Yes, I know it's in DC every year, but I never really paid that much attention to it. But this year, since I'm here, I was all over it. One, I love that the President is allowed to be funny and make fun of people on that night. (Although the Jimmy Fallon Slow Jam the News was hilarious the week before.) And comedians are allowed to get in on it as well. I almost died watching Jimmy Kimmel talk about Governor Chris Christie. Hilarious.
The conversations look so interesting:

Yeah, I almost missed the plane to get here. Are you surprised? Have you seen me in court?

This is so funny! What are we laughing at again? The fact that a Kardashian was let into this dinner?

(Woman in the Back): "That b*tch better let go of my man."
But, being me, I was more concerned about the fashion hits and misses. Michelle Obama looked stunning in Naeem Khan, as usual. I had my opinions of the rest of the crew.
The Winner: Kate Hudson. Hands down. She got her pre-baby body back, and looks perfect. A little bit (okay a lot) of sparkle, perfect bun and just stunning makeup. Loved it.

Absolute Favorites: Who knew Martha Stewart would look so good in a short Marchesa dress? You go! Loved Eva Longoria in Marchesa too. She did the short dress so much better than Sofia Vergara, who looked like she was going to a high school homecoming. Elizabeth Banks was perfectly put-together, and Charlize Theron always looks amazing.

Meh: On the fence about Zooey Deschanel, Rachel Zoe and Rashida Jones. Not cause I hate what they have on, but just because they were not exactly a great fit.

I Wish I Hadn't Seen That: Lindsay Lohan: Please, for the love of God, get your self together. You've looked better walking into court for a DUI. Ginnifer Goodwin: Lord help the poor soul who recommended she wear all those ruffles. It's too much. Great that it's H&M, but who cares? It's not cute. Sigourney Weaver: While I understand not wearing a super fitting dress when you're a woman of a certain age, I don't understand wearing what looks like a roll of fabric from the Fashion District wrapped around your body. Kate Upton: Just because you're "sexy" doesn't mean you can go out of the house in a bathrobe. Even if it is Alexander McQueen.

What do you guys think?
Enjoy!
