Film critic, Nathan Rabin initial coined a tenure Manic Pixie Dream Girl in response to Kirsten Dunst's purpose in "Elizabethtown." He described a batch impression as, "that bubbly, shoal cinematic quadruped that exists only in a heated imaginations of supportive writer-directors to learn broodingly soulful immature group to welcome life and a gigantic mysteries and adventures."
From afterwards on, a tenure Manic Pixie Dream Girl (otherwise famous as a MPDG) has been used to report quirky womanlike characters who are unabashedly girlish (and have good ambience in music). However not everybody is a fan of a term.
