New Girl star, Zooey Deschanel, is excited for her Emmy nomination but also thrilled for her co-star, Max Greenfield (Who plays Schmidt on the series).
"I didn't want to assume anything, but I got the phone call and woke up," Deschanel said. "It's this thing you dream about when you decided to become an actor. It's a huge, incredible life moment." Zooey was nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series but will face some tough competition including comedy veterans, Tina Fey, Amy Poheler and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Zooey is also pumped for her co-star, Max Greenfield, on his first Emmy nomination. "When he (Greenfield) tested for our pilot, he had tested for like ten pilots the year before and been second for everything," she said. "It's pretty exciting to see him succeeding and showing all of those people that they underestimated Max Greenfield."
