“The Hippie Girl” is taken from Portland, Oregon-based songwriter Mike Coykendall’s new record, Chasing Away The Dots, and features backing vocals by Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel, as well as lap steel by Blitzen Trapper’s Eric Earley.
