Justin Bieber will be getting The Simpsons treatment!
Bieber announced yesterday that he will be making a cameo on the upcoming season of the long-running animated series. Bieber tweeted (and then deleted) on Tuesday:
“Just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy”
Executive producer of the show, Al Jean, confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly, revealing that Bieber will be appearing on the September 30 episode, titled “The Fabulous Faker Boy.” In the episode Bieber will try to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in. Unfortunately for the Biebs, the won’t let him in it!
The Simpsons is no stranger to some musical guests. In the past music superstars like Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Lady Gaga, and many more have appeared on the show.
The upcoming 24th season of the show will see other music star cameos, besides Bieber. Zooey Deschanel of She & Him, Max Weinberg of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, and even the late composer Marvin Hamlisch, who passed away just weeks ago, have all recorded lines for the upcoming season.
