Russell Brand filed final divorce papers Tuesday, and his marriage to Katy Perry will officially be over on June 30, after the required sixmonth waiting period.
TMZ reports that the actor is entitled to approximately $20 million of Perry’s fortune (she made $44 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to Forbes). But sources tell TMZ the two did not have a prenup, so everything during their 14month marriage is community property.
Nevertheless, Brand is not asking for any of her fortune, only the money he earned, says TMZ.
Meanwhile, the latest gossip swirling around Brand is that he has been sending “funny, flirty texts,” reports OK!, to New Girl star Zooey Deschanel.
