This movie is about a boy and a girl who work for a greeting card company. Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a hopeless romantic, and he falls in love with Summer (Zooey Deschanel) who is not looking for a relationship. Tom thinks Summer is the one. But, that’s just the background of the story. The movie is really about the 500 days the couple was together, and why it ended. It switches around in time a lot.
The movie was sweet. A little bit quirky, but if Zooey Deschanel is in it, it’s probably a bit quirky. I wouldn’t say the movie was anything too extraordinary. I understand that they were trying to mix it up a bit and not make another “sunset” movie (a movie where the couple lives happily ever after, riding into the sunset). I did really enjoy the ending of the movie.
So, if you want to know the ending of the movie, I guess you’ve got to go watch it.
