I was pinning on Pinterest this morning (I do it while drinking my coffee, and I wonder why it takes me so long to get ready on the morning!), and I kept seeing bows. I particularly liked this one pin; it was Zooey Deschanel with a collared shirt with a bow and a skirt. And that’s my pinspiration for this morning!
I put on my navy blue pencil skirt and this yellow button down shirt. (It’s actually the peek-a-boo shirt from one of my whoops-a-daisy Wednesdays!) It’s super bright, and the pattern is great. Also, it’s got a tie at the neck.
Seeing as how it’s winter, I should probably put something on over it. Some of the leaves in the pattern are this tannish gray. Well isn’t it funny that I just happen to have a tannish gray sweater? Perfect! I added the nude sparkly flats and my standard gold jewelry – voila!
Now it is supposedly a school rule that teachers MUST wear pantyhose when wearing skirts or dresses. Seeing as how I’m a rebel, I rarely do that. I HATE pantyhose. Men are so incredibly lucky that they will never be asked to wear pantyhose. Now, tights and leggings are not bad; I love leggings. But pantyhose…they are the bane of my existence. There is something about them that you always feel like a sausage in them. My sister, the smart alec that she is, told me that maybe I had a size too small. Um, I know my size, and if I went a size bigger, I’d have rolls around my ankles. If you get the control top, you can hardly breathe; you get the un-control ones, and it rolls down, which would make for an excellent whoops-a-daisy story but hardly appropriate for work. It is a no-win situation!
Why am I going on and on about pantyhose? Because I’m seeing the big boss today, and it’s his rule that we wear pantyhose. I’d rather not get in trouble this week. So as much as I’m a rebel, I’m conforming today. Ugh! It’s rainy, cold, and pantyhose are giving me agita.
So what’s the plan for today? “First we’ll make snow angels for two hours, then we’ll go ice skating, then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse cookie dough as fast as we can, and then we’ll snuggle.”. Ok, so maybe not, but how much do you love Elf ?! Stay dry, stay warm, and smile!
