Well, let me start out by saying: Excuse me for being absolutely disgusting, but I'm sorry, I just love "A Walk to Remember." I will be the first to admit, openly and freely, of my feelings of revulsion towards any Nicholas Sparks-related movie. However, this classic is a rare exception.

Just before I left school for Summer, I made the poor (and by poor I mean, emotionally overwhelming yet so excellent) choice of watching this movie with my friend. I still haven't recovered from the heart-ache and deep depression that has consumed my being since that night.

Of course, here come the "hipster" tendencies for that thing they call nostalgia - but watching "A Walk To Remember" brings back so many memories. I recall listening to Mandy Moore's song "Cry"  (featured at the end of the movie - the music video is made of clips from the movie itself!) on a casette tape, having to repeatedly rewind and rewind so I could sink further into the depths of my devastated, long sighs.

There were just so many different sides to this story to make it just so sad, but so perfect:

a) the star-crossed lovers story line

b) Shane West's beautiful self and awe-inspiring devotion to Mandy Moore

Okay, maybe that's all I can think of for now, but that sure is enough.

I don't look nearly as pretty as Zooey Deschanel looks when she cries, but I felt this gif was fitting. Also, to avoid being terribly cliché and adding songs from "A Walk To Remember," I decided to post different songs that would do just as great of a job at getting you depressed too. Enjoy. :-(
