iPhone's Siri befriends John Malkovich, offers life advice
Apple recently released a new set of television ads featuring celebrities such as Zooey Deschanel and John Malkovich (from "Being John Malkovich").
While the ads are clever, I am surprised they haven't gotten Apple into any trouble. After all, the philosophical advice Siri offers Malkovich, who is reclining comfortably in a chair, is an unrealistic portrayal of Siri's artificial intelligence. Despite this fact, Malkovich laughs at Siri's jokes and even replies, "That was funny."
Check it out & let me know what you think!
It is a slightly startling reminder of our reliance on technology, and perhaps our relationship with its conveniences.
