Workplace Diva: IBM Bans Siri As A Security Risk

Siri can take the night off at both Samuel L. Jackson's house and IBM.

IBM has hit delete on Apple's voice assistant because these "conversations" can be stored and accessed. Plus, everything you say goes to an Apple data center somewhere, apparently. We don't want employees' voice files falling into the wrong hands now, do we?

Somehow, the news that some major corporations, especially in the technology field, are having second thoughts about Siri doesn't surprise me. Siri is loud, and it makes us ask loud, silly questions like "Is that rain?" when everyone can hear that it's raining pretty hard outside.

Siri might also misinterpret what's said, especially if you have a strong accent. This is what I think of every time I see the annoyingly twee Zooey Deschanel Siri commercial. Hilarious.
