A magazine advertisement for a L'Oreal anti-wrinkle product featuring actress Rachel Weisz was banned by Britain's industry watchdog the Advertising Standards Authority for "misleadingly" exaggerating its performance. The ASA said it "misrepresented the results that the product could achieve. They said the ad misleadingly exaggerated the performance of the product in relation to the claims 'skin looks smoother' and 'complexion looks more even'." We've been asking ourselves if they've gone too far? Or, maybe if they banning these ads would prevent us from buying products that don't deliver all they claim?
