A saucy French election is on our hands, and I have no idea what's going on.

So, who exactly am I rooting for here? The Prez who looks like French Tony Shalhoub,or Socialist opponent literally eating a baguette in this stock photo? I'm so confused!

At least we know how other countries feel when the look at our election process. #IThinkObamaWouldBeConsideredLabourParty, #Maybe

The following artists casted votes for Baguette-Man to the sounds of Edith Paif this weekend.

Washed Out (@ernestgreene), Andre Obin (@andreobin) @ Paradise, 4.20.12: In light of the Dig's recent interview with Washed Out mastermind Ernest Greene, yours truly was on hand to witness a sold-out chillwave show at its finest. How chillwave, you ask? I spotted someone sporting freshly-sprayed seapunk hair. We were ocean-worshipers, all, if only for a night.

Death Cab For Cutie (@DCFC), Magik*Magik Orchestra (@magikmagik) @ Wang Theatre, 4.21.12: Ben Gibbard and Co. may very well prove to be one of the defining acts of the last decade, consistently putting out LP's that find a middle-ground between melancholy and melody. Not to mention that Gibbard had Indie Marriage of the Decade with Zooey Deschanel before they, well, didn't. Whatever, "New Girl" sucks anyway.

Fun. (@ournameisfun), Miniature Tigers (@miniaturetigers) @ House of Blues, 4.21.12: NYC indie-pop outfit Fun. have done a lot in a little; namely, reversing the Sophomore Slump by having a #3 album on the Billboards with their second LP, Some Nights, aided by a little anthem called "We Are Young." Who says you can't have fun at work? Fun., that's who says.

Portugal. The Man (@portugaltheman), The Lonely Forest (@thelonelyforest) @ House of Blues, 4.22.12: Let's give it up for bands that predominately use periods in their names and played House of Blues this weekend! -starts slow clap, subsides- But seriously, if you don't dig Portugal's feel-good, psychedelic rock by this point, you probably never will. Unless you enjoy the song I posted below. Listen. (To The) Man.

~SUPER BONUS WEEKEND HANGOVER ADDITION~

Our good friend Mick Murray was on hand for Great Scott's weekly Pill dance-party Friday night, snagging pics and video of December Sound's set [which included an always-appreciated Jesus and Mary Chain cover]. Make with the clicks below!!!
