Death Cab For Cutie (@DCFC), Magik*Magik Orchestra (@magikmagik) @ Wang Theatre, 4.21.12: Ben Gibbard and Co. may very well prove to be one of the defining acts of the last decade, consistently putting out LP's that find a middle-ground between melancholy and melody. Not to mention that Gibbard had Indie Marriage of the Decade with Zooey Deschanel before they, well, didn't. Whatever, "New Girl" sucks anyway.

(@ournameisfun), Miniature Tigers (@miniaturetigers) @ House of Blues, 4.21.12: NYC indie-pop outfit Fun. have done a lot in a little; namely, reversing the Sophomore Slump by having a #3 album on the Billboards with their second LP, Some Nights, aided by a little anthem called "We Are Young." Who says you can't have fun at work? Fun., that's who says.

The Man (@portugaltheman), The Lonely Forest (@thelonelyforest) @ House of Blues, 4.22.12: Let's give it up for bands that predominately use periods in their names and played House of Blues this weekend! -starts slow clap, subsides- But seriously, if you don't dig Portugal's feel-good, psychedelic rock by this point, you probably never will.
