Katrina Bowden has found a decent amount of success over the past few years. The 30 Rock star has had a recurring role on the hit NBC comedy, and will be starring in the big upcoming sequels Piranha 3DD and American Reunion. Now, she's going to be testing her comedy chops once more on another hit series: New Girl.
E! Online has revealed that Bowden will be playing a love interest for Nick in the April 3rd episode of the freshman smash. However, when he turns to Schmidt for dating advice, Nick will end up trying to date two women at the same time. "That's part of a phase where Nick Miller scores a lot of women," Jake Johnson told them. "He goes through a very weird stage that ends in a pretty fun, comedic way."
Max Greenfield added, "Jake Johnson goes on a run on this show that is just unheard of." Meanwhile, Zooey Deschanel also replied to the new Nick romances that "four other really beautiful women who are all really throwing themselves at him." Hmm…four? Could Jess herself be one of these four women? Maybe it will take Nick's sleeping around to realize that he has eyes for Jess? Yes, we're not going to let that duo with plenty of chemistry go just yet…
It's unclear just how long Bowden will stay on New Girl, especially as Nick tries to date two women at once, but we're guessing it will only be for one episode.
Bowden joins an overwhelmingly amazing guest cast that the hit comedy has chalked up since the series' debut last September. Justin Long, Lizzy Caplan, Ryan Kwanten, Katie Cassidy, Eva Amurri, Michaela Watkins, Rachael Harris, Clark Duke, Joey King, Dermot Mulroney, and more have all appeared in this first season, with more guest stars being courted as we speak. Greenfield says he would love to have Kristen Bell on before the season finishes shooting, but whether or not that is still an option remains to be seen.
New Girl airs all-new episodes every Tuesday night at 9PM on FOX.
