A new breed of comedy has an old attitude to its female stars.
Girls on film. Girls in pop music. They regularly take a tour, for the best and the worst and then Whitney died and Madonna plays the Super Bowl, we get a series of comedies on feisty, beautiful girls and it turns out that nothing much has changed.
The grotesques of young bold song, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have counterparts on the small screen. These girls are "scandalous" because they are meat and sing sad songs on exorcism. Only, they face in that they do not appear to seek permission or approval of the men, despite perfect almost naked body and erotic choreography. The immensely talented Adele seems also indifferent to present itself as a boy want to take mother home but without obvious striptease sex.
Comedy Hit New Girl and 2 Broke Girls tear sheets of the book of Katy Perry, which means that they infringe the rules less than Cindi Lauper or Laverne & Shirley. What are bridesmaids for the small screen.
They are lovable rogues who get drunk, have pity sex and say young men when their behavior is dry vagina. For true. They are only rough girls at a very superficial level. They are good girls with the dirty mouth. If Julia Roberts was 25 and now doing Pretty Woman, it would present a much scarier than the slippery little sucker Hooker, we met in 1990. (Richard Gere role would probably go to Ryan Gosling, while Zach Galifianakis would make more sense).
Broke Girls 2 (Nine, Tuesday, 8: 00 am) comes from ingenious comedian Whitney Cummings, who now has his own eponymous television series, but has worked as a writer, performer and producer, following the footsteps of giants of Tina Fey. It has devised a comedy involving a Princess of the Upper East Side, New York, all lose and it with crass-but-beautiful waitress in Brooklyn. Together they must make their fortunes, pushing the wrong men, wait tables, and love the other as the Sisters of the world is not for them. Nothing about it feels original, although since Mister Ed has a horse just entered the House for laughs.
Their friendship like that of cousins in The Patty Duke Show or the Twins separated from The Parent Trap. These two "classical" related the unlikely companions by blood. It is difficult to see why the two girls broken would remain together except for the ratings. Ain ' (of course as hell t for the laffs.) They do not have the reader Trading Places in revenge or principle of the Prince of Bel Air to offer a star Will Smith vehicle.
The older women of the brigade just rogue than sense. Laura Dern damaged surviving in Enlightened (showcase, Tuesday, 10 h 35 h) heard the appeal of Oprah for the emancipation and the law and concluded that although it "deserves" peace, love and freedom, nothing comes from its path.
