Zooey Deschanel gets into character on set of New Girl on a sunny Monday (March 19) in Los Angeles.
The 32-year-old actress carried a vintage typewriter in the scene she was filming.
This week's all-new episode of New Girl, called "Fancyman, Part 1," is about Jess (Deschanel) reluctantly dating the wealthy father of one of her students. New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
Zooey also recently said in an interview that she wants to get back into music, saying, "I have a lot of stuff I want to record and a lot of songs I've written."
